Small groups
Knox is a big place, there are a lot of people. A small group is a little place, there are less people. Small groups are quality gatherings of people—people to explore scripture, dive into faith and life conversations, and find yourself in community with.

MONDAYS
7:00pm / Bloor & Ossington Area >> Summer Small Group
w/ Alyssa McLeod, Andrew Patten & Sam Harding
This one’s primarily for the younger side of UYAM—say, 18-24yrs. We’ll be blazing through Acts and praying for divine inspiration to feed our faith and form our actions as we grow together as a church community. And yes, as Andrew Bird once sung, “there will be snacks.” Starts June 7 and runs all summer long.
7:30pm / Bloor & Ossington Area >> The Gospel of Matthew
w/ Andrew Schroter
Small group Bible study and fellowship for young professionals/post-grads who sometimes have to travel & can’t be there each and every week. Most meetings are in the Bloor/Ossington area.

TUESDAYS
7:20pm / Knox House >> The Fourteen Twenty-sixers, formerly known as “Scott’s Small Group”
1 Cor 14:26 “What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.”
Everyone participates in leading this group. The group begins with sharing of personal concerns and concerns for the community. After anyone who wishes to offer a concern has voiced it, the group begins to pray for the issues just raised. This normally takes 45 minutes. After that, a pre-planned individual describes a topic/reading/book that they had previously agreed to prepare and often (but not always) facilitates the discussion on that topic. Previous topics have included core Biblical ideas such as: “How does the Bible use and describe the term faith?”; How does it use truth or fear and trembling?.
