Who says Clint Eastwood is the poor man’s Chuck Norris?
Well, nobody, of course. The man has some serious accolades to his name: The growly voiced actor (even at 79, he’d make a convincing cowboy) has won five Academy Awards for his directorial work. He turns in a fine performance—both behind and in front of the camera—in Gran Torino, his 2008 submission, which will be showing at 7:30 p.m. THIS FRIDAY at Knox House (646 Spadina).
For the discussion that’ll follow, check out this article. Perhaps it’ll be obvious, but the film really is full of redemption-y goodness. (Feel free to disagree, of course. That’s part of the fun!)
